Twins Realize They’re Both Gay, Come Out To Mom

We love the I’m From Driftwood series that catalogs first-person coming out stories.

A recent share from Ron Malott of Kyle, Texas caught our eye for its unusual circumstances.

“So being from a big family and there being so many of us, I guess because my twin brother and I were sort of special and in the middle, we kind of felt a lot of pressure, probably put on us by ourselves, but still pressure to not disappoint anyone and to try to always be the best we could be,” Ron begins.

He goes on to detail how he realized he was gay — a pretty damn adorable story involving Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon — and what happened when he came out to his twin brother, who is also gay.

That’s when the two brothers decided to come out to their mother, together.
