LISTEN: HRC Legal Director Answers Members’ Questions on Anti-LGBT State Bills

On Thursday, April 21, HRC Legal Director Sarah Warbelow and Senior Regional Director Lynne Bowman hosted a conference call to brief members and supporters on the 196 anti-LGBT state bills that have been introduced this year — including North Carolina's discriminatory HB 2.

Listen in to hear the highlights and answers to HRC members' questions.

On Monday, April 25, the North Carolina legislature will reconvene session. HRC is mobilizing our 2.5 million members and supporters to contact North Carolina Governor Pay McCrory and urge to fully repeal H.B. 2. Send a message to Governor McCrory and legislative leadership in North Carolina to fully repeal H.B. 2 today!

In addition, HRC Mississippi is preparing to host a rally on Saturday, May 1 at the state capitol in Jackson to urge Mississippi lawmakers to repeal H.B. 1523. RSVP now to lend your support today.

This year alone, HRC has tracked nearly 200 anti-LGBT bills that were introduced in 34 states across the country. Although the majority of these bills died prior to passage, the fight is not yet over.
