Joe Manganiello Teaches Pee-wee Herman How To Live It Up In New “Bromance”

by Jeremy Kinser February 16, 2016

The wait is nearly over! Thirty-one years after Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, the playfully eccentric man-boy who taught a generation of Reagan-era kids that it’s OK to be different is back with a new movie. Pee-wee’s Holiday finds our childlike hero (Paul Reubens) working at a diner just living his life until a dark handsome stranger (Joe Manganiello) wanders in for a milkshake and reminds Pee-wee that he’s still got a lotta living to do. In a recent New York Times profile, Reubens described the movie as ‘‘a bit of a bromance.”

Fans can also look forward to an appearance by Darryl Stephens, a fave of Queerty readers for his performances in the TV series Noah’s Arc and the film Boy Culture. The film will begin streaming on Netflix March 18.

Watch the adventure begin in the trailer below.
