Nick Jonas appeared on a new episode of the NBC show Running Wild with Bear Grylls this week, which saw the pair battling the elements in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, culminating in them stripping down to their underwear for a swim through some very cold waters.

The camera seems to linger on Jonas and his Calvins for optimal viewing of his physique in a clip from the show, and we’re not complaining.

“Knowing people have cardiac arrest just from the shock of that water…I don’t do these things lightly,” Grylls says.

“We can do this! We got this,” Jonas says as they make their way to the other side of the frozen lake.

When they finally get to the other side, Grylls rubs Jonas’ feet to help the circulation. Jonas is diabetic, which can cause poor circulation to the legs and feet.

Grylls puts Jonas’ feet under his armpits to warm them.

“Warmest part of the body,” he says. “Second warmest part of the body, but I wasn’t going to subject Nick to that after that ice swim.”

Maybe next time. Watch the clip below.
