Trump Spa Introduces “New Mom Package”

As anyone who currently has, or has ever had, an infant at home can attest, motherhood is grueling work. Nine months’ of losing complete control of your body, followed by labor, delivery, sleep deprivation, nursing issues, fatigue, “mommy brain”. No matter how much we adore that tiny little infant with its chubby cheeks and new baby smell, caring for a newborn is mentally and physically exhausting.

In honor of new mothers everywhere, The Spa at Trump has created a New Mom Package that offers “a few hours’ of well-deserved ‘me time’ and post-baby rejuvenation.” The package is available exclusively at The Spa at Trump’s four locations across the United States: The Trump luxury day spa in Chicago, Las Vegas Hotel Spa, Waikiki spa resort in Honolulu, and Trump’s downtown New York hotel spa.

“Anyone who has experienced the joys of motherhood can attest to how all-consuming those first days, weeks, and even months are,” said Ivanka Trump, Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisitions for Trump Hotel Collection, who became a first-time mother herself last month. “The New Mom Package is a great gift idea and the perfect way for women who have been down that road themselves to show the new mother in their lives —whether a friend, sister or daughter— that they understand.”

Included in the New Mom Package is Bootcamp for Tummies —a one-hour “rehab for abs”, a Universal Glow Facial, and a special take-home gift of Mama Mio’s Skin Tight Toning Serum.

I could totally go for some pampering right now. I would not be opposed to a facial in Honolulu. My only question about the New Mom Package is this: Is five years still considered post-natal?

Representation of Modern Families in Kid-Friendly Entertainment

I recently wrote an article for The Next Family called, “Family-Friendly Films That Feature Adoption and Foster Care,” that shared wonderful family films with adoption or foster care story lines. My reasoning behind doing so was because every family deserves a chance to see similar families like theirs represented in various forms of entertainment.

The same can be said of other...
