Australian Health Insurance Company Covers All Families in Great New Ad

by The Next Family February 08, 2016

Medibank is an Australian health insurance company and its newest commercial has us smiling!

It’s latest advert explains how the company supports and offers coverage to all types of families beyond traditional heterosexual ones. They feature multiracial families, families through adoption and foster care, LGBT families, single parent families, families with disabilities, and families headed by grandparents.

On it’s Facebook page, Medibank says that everyone featured in the commercial are “real people in their real homes going about their lives.” They also added, “A documentary maker captured these every-day but precious moments, and we’re proud to share them with you.”

With gay marriage still illegal in Australia, it’s wonderful to see health insurance companies go above and beyond to be inclusive of all families, especially those headed by same-sex parents. A commercial such as this provides hope for Australians in 2016.
