In case you needed any more fuel to add to the Donald Trump hate fire, new polling out of South Carolina says 31 percent of his supporters would support banning gays from the United States. Good luck with that.
The numbers come from Public Policy Polling, which has just released a ton of info taken from surveys of voters who plan to vote in Saturday’s Republican Primary.
Of course, Trump leads in virtually every category, but one answer from Trump supporters gives us more than a bit of pause:
We heard (and cringed) when Trump loudly announced his plan to ban all Muslims from coming into the United States, but we really question this idea.
We should make it perfectly clear that Trump hasn’t publicly announced the idea and it’s pretty much just the trolliest of questions on the part of PPP, but it’s fairly shocking that a third of his supporters would even entertain the idea of banning gays.
Also, what would our new favorite lovebirds Nayyef Hrebid and Betu Allami say?
If you want to be depressed about the state of electoral politics and humanity in general, the entire report can be found here. Remember, whether you’re Ready For Hillary or Feeling The Bern, I think we can all agree they’re both lightyears ahead of Trump on most issues, but especially this one.
We also hope that “gay liberal” for Trump sees this and knows the kind of people he’s trying to surround himself with.
