In 2014, Pew Research Center released a study that stated that less than half of the kids under 18 in the U.S., lived in a home with two married heterosexual parents. The 2010 census showed that one in ten marriages were between heterosexual couples of different races and 21% of same-sex couples were mixed. If these statistics tell us anything, it’s that families aren’t as homogenous as they used to be, and thankfully, many large brands realize that. Since the beginning of 2014, many companies have released fantastic commercials that feature modern families: LGBT families, interracial families, adoptive families, families with disabilities, and single-parent families. These modern families truly reflect the beautiful change that has occurred in our world. Check out these top twelve commercials from January 2014 until now, that feature modern day families at their best.
