Practicing Patience

The Next Family

By: Kelly Rummelhart

After last week’s downer of a post, my plan was to write about some of the awesome things IPs have surprised their surrogates with, from thoughtful messages via text and email to sending sweet treats to their surrogate’s children. However, I am sick and don’t have my heart behind it. So instead of doing a disservice to the post, I will cover that later and for now just update you on my third and final journey.

We were hoping for a late October or November transfer but now it’s looking more like December. Apparently the egg donor can’t make it into the RE’s office for her physical screening until mid-October. It will take at least two weeks to get her results. So until then, I guess I will practice patience as we continue with our contracts phase and hope that she passes screening so we can get the ball rolling.
